Both the enigmatic cult leader Osmund Saddler and Thatcher impersonator Ramón Salazar have the same stage presence as pantomime villains, albeit ones that at any moment could explode into a slithering tangle of goo-covered tentacles, traumatising a bunch of toddlers in the process.Īn early fight in a dilapidated village is just as good here as it was in the original, and serves as both a tutorial for what comes next as well as a fraught ganuntlet against seemingly endless waves of very angry middle-aged farmers.īalancing this all out is Ashley, a drop of sincerity in an ocean of wacky. Leon is a handsome goofball, responding to incomprehensible awfulness with a quick quip and a flick of his impeccable fringe.
